If I decide to extend my trip, can I extend my coverage?

If you decide to extend your period of coverage after arrival in Canada, contact your agent. We will extend your coverage under this policy beyond your expiry date, as long as:

  • You have not incurred a claim under this policy;
  • You agree that expenses related to Medical Conditions present on the date you apply for an extension will not be covered by this policy;
  • Coverage under this policy is in force at the time you request an extension; and
  • You pay any additional required premium for such extension.

Note: In no event can coverage be extended for a period exceeding 18 months from your original Start Date.
